1. Raw material warehousing inspection
The starting point of all high-quality products is high-quality raw materials. After purchasing raw materials, fan guard manufacturers will first conduct strict warehousing inspection. This includes but is not limited to chemical composition analysis and mechanical property testing of metal materials, as well as heat resistance and corrosion resistance testing of non-metallic materials. Through these tests, it can be ensured that the raw materials used meet the established specifications and standards, laying a solid foundation for subsequent production. Manufacturers will also establish a raw material batch tracking system so that they can quickly trace and isolate the affected batches when quality problems arise.
2. Online inspection during the production process
On the production line, fan guard manufacturers will set up multiple quality inspection points to monitor and inspect key processes in real time. These inspection points are usually located after key processes such as stamping, welding, and spraying to ensure that each step of the operation meets the preset quality control standards. After the stamping process, precision measuring tools are used to check the dimensional accuracy and shape consistency of the parts; after the welding process, the strength and appearance of the welds are checked to ensure that there are no defects such as cracks and slag inclusions; after the spraying process, the adhesion and uniformity of the coating are tested to ensure the corrosion resistance and aesthetics of the product.
3. First-piece inspection and patrol inspection
The first-piece inspection is a comprehensive inspection of the first batch of products produced before production begins, aiming to verify whether the production conditions (such as molds, tooling, and process parameters) meet the design requirements. Through the first-piece inspection, deviations in production can be discovered and adjusted in time to prevent the occurrence of batch quality problems. Manufacturers will also arrange patrol personnel to regularly patrol the production line to check the operator's work standardization, equipment operation status, and whether the production environment meets the requirements to ensure that the entire production process is under control.
4. Finished product sampling and full inspection
At the finished product stage, fan guard manufacturers will implement an inspection strategy that combines sampling and full inspection. Sampling inspection is to randomly select a certain proportion of samples from the production batch for comprehensive inspection to evaluate the quality level of the entire batch of products. If the sampling results show that there are quality problems, it is necessary to expand the scope of sampling or directly convert to full inspection to ensure that unqualified products are not released. Full inspection is to check all products one by one. Although it takes a long time, it can provide the highest level of quality assurance, especially for products with extremely high safety requirements.
5. Performance testing and functional verification
In addition to appearance and size inspections, fan guard manufacturers will also conduct performance testing and functional verification to evaluate the actual working performance of the product. This includes but is not limited to impact resistance testing, high temperature resistance testing, electrical insulation performance testing, etc. Through these tests, it can be ensured that the fan guard can still maintain a stable working state under extreme conditions and effectively protect the fan from external damage.
6. Management of non-conforming products and corrective and preventive measures
For non-conforming products found during the inspection, the manufacturer will immediately mark and isolate them, and classify them according to the non-conforming product handling procedures. For non-conforming products that can be reworked, a detailed rework plan will be formulated and the rework effect will be tracked; for non-conforming products that cannot be reworked, they will be scrapped or downgraded according to the procedures. The manufacturer will deeply analyze the reasons for non-conformity, take corrective measures to prevent the problem from happening again, and improve the effectiveness of the entire quality management system through preventive measures.
7. Quality Records and Traceability
In order to achieve the traceability of quality management, fan guard manufacturers will establish a complete quality record system to record the inspection data and results of each step from raw material procurement to finished product delivery. These records not only help to discover and solve problems in a timely manner, but also provide customers with quality certification documents when necessary to enhance customer trust.
